Anyone going to High Desert Test Sites this weekend?

Not that us Nevadans were necessarily invited, but those desert-loving Angelenos are at it again this weekend November 7-9 in the 29 Palms Area...I was just out that way last weekend but I am tempted to go out Saturday and check it out. I suppose their desert looks desolate in comparison to Los Angeles, but I prefer my base at the foot of the Funeral Mountains thank you very much. Here's some links:

Hi Suzanne
I think all the Ding Dong's should attend Albert's Tarantella 111 next October.
This annual event is a Nevada must. Hannah and I had such a great time in Rhyolite. Wow! we sure did have a lot of fun, and the entertainment was fantastic.

Hi Suzanne
I got my reservation For two nights at the Exchange. I am looking forward to The performances. Is it OK to pay at the door? See you Saturday.

Hi Suzanne
Can I send you a check or pay at the door? I am not sure how to do this. I want to make sure I have two tickets. I am making room reservations in the morning.

I am getting tickets right after I post this. Where do you suggest I stay? I want something close to what is happening? I will book the reservation as soon as I hear back from you. I am trying to get others to attend also.

Notes

This site will serve what purpose?

Let's talk about this concept of art in motel rooms and how this art event is different–and how to keep making it STAND OUT. What're we doing in these motel rooms, hmmm?? How much interest has there been? What's it like to attend this thing? Can other cities get involved? Who pays what to whom? When is check out time? If we find porn under the bed do we keep it?

People have a lot of questions to ask so ask away–or answer away–hell, do both.

Serendipity Gets It Upity

serendipity gets it uppity for me because it can feel great to be out of control, not calling the shots, that can feel great. I like art in that way and art making, you know, when a drip just works. Usually it turns out the 'accident' was better than you possibly could have planned out. Well, that's kinda how this show should be seen. 50 artists have exhibitions in rooms next to each other, there's gonna be some juxtaposed serendipity gettin' it uppity in hee-ah.
